BANGKOK OPEN 2020 - TRAINING
One of our favorite tournaments in terms of strength (with GMs like Nigel Short), organization (friendly, relaxed but strict FIDE rated), location (Thailand hospitality all over) and food, weather, schedule - you name it, all boxes are ticked.
The tournament will take place 11-19 April and we plan to go there with a Caissa delegation!
We will offer training and preparation sessions from two weeks before the event.
The training will be conducted by IM Matthew Tan and will in addition to chess technical topics also include mental preparation and other important facets of tournament play, e.g., we will not be distracted by a losing or winning streak, nor affected by opponents' low or high rating and so on.
All students who join the training will in Bangkok also receive game analysis and special opponent preparation if useful in certain rounds.
Training Schedule (details in March) - all training in Sheung Wan:
Day 1: 2 hours + 1 hour optional training play
Day 2: 2 hours + 1 hour optional training play
Day 3: 2 hours + 1 hour optional training play
To safeguard quality and enough time for each student coach Matthew will not take on too many students so please register asap if you already are sure you wan to join BCC 2020 and have Matthew help you in your preparations and in Bangkok.
PLEASE NOTE that the registration for the tournament need to be done by each player on the BCC 2020 site here.
