The May EOM, the first of three Summer EOMs, was played on 28 and 29 May in Discovery Bay and Sheung Wan respectively. It was the largest and strongest EOM of this season with some fine play in the top groups and as always with some first time-ever players and medal winners in the lower groups. It was the first time we spread out the players over 4 groups of strength instead of 3 to provide a more fine-tuned spread of students based on their Step levels. With over 30 participants the Spring Blitz was divided into 2 playing groups: Open and U12 in one group, playing for prizes of their own age group, and U10, U8 and U6 in another group, but also playing for prizes in each player's relevant age group. Given the success Wing Ki and Ethan had in the finale of the Spring YGP that had ended just that morning, they bravely opted to play higher than their age category, Wing Ki in Open and Ethan in U12. Wing Ki Untouchable in Spring YGP 2016

With 7 out of 7, 1.5 points ahead of number 2, Wing Ki has shown again that at this moment he belongs to the absolute top in Hong Kong in U12 +/- 2 years... The U14 and U12 players were placed in the same group, playing for 2 trophies to be won among 6 players. The heroic battle between Harsh (U10) and Ulysses (U12) ended in a win for Ulysses which got him the 2nd prize trophy in the U12-U14 category.
