Wen Yi Peng Wins Greater Bay Area Chess Rapid 2024 at Auberge Hotel Discovery Bay

Close to 100 players arrived Sunday 19 May at the Auberge Hotel to play chess in Discovery Bay's 5-star resort hotel. Close to half of the participants came from Shenzhen and Guangdong and our sister club, Yifen in Shenzhen, brought in 35 of their students by coach bus.

The venue facilities were top class. The event went smooth under the professional arbitership of IA Alberto Muniz and the highly capable Caissa coaching team taking on the arbiter roles in the arena today. All players showed great sportmanship and were instrumental in creating and maintaining a pleasant atmosphere.
