Registration ECA Chess DBIS Term 1

In Term 1 of Academic Year 2026-27 we will start providing chess ECA classes on Mondays 3.20m-4.20pm for all levels for Years 6-13.

Coach/Student ratio: 1 coach for 8 to 10 students (depending on the levels). Maximum students: 20,

Training focus: on bringing students, many of whom haven't played chess in a tournament format before, comfortably at a level to play in individual and team tournaments. All our students can join Caissa's once per month "End of Month" tournament which is a controlled competition in which players of equal strength play for medals and trophies and learn how to play with a chess clock and time their thinking.

Material: all students will get their own workbook at their own level. A class consists of three parts: classical instruction on a chess topic, workbook assignment on the topic and supervised over the board play.
