Caissa Talents Perform Well at DCD Foundation Charity Chess Event

On Saturday 4 October 130 players, youth and adults, went to Yew Chung International School (Secondary section) in Kowloon Tong to play in a Charity Tournament organized by the Hong Kong China Chess Federation. The HKCCF, especially since Honorary Chairman Geoffrey Kao jumped on board, regularly organizes chess charity events and this time it was in support of the local organization working in the field of Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD)

The DCD Foundation provides information, creates awareness, offers advice and other forms of help to people who have Dyspraxia Disorder, a non-curable disorder that affects the motoric skills, in their lives.

In support of this event, well over a dozen Caissa students in different age categories took part. The playing level and tournament mindset was excellent.

One special mention is for the U8 Caissa boys Shayne and Spencer (despite a loss in the lost round), clinching 1st and 3rd place respectively.

Well done! And a big thanks to all Caissa students for having joined.
