Although blitz chess has the tendancy to have the biggest amount of blunders among all time controls, this edition of FIDE's fastest time control was pretty much decided beforehand. Alberto signed up late and attracted no other strong players. With almost 500 rating points more than the second placed WCM Hoi Ting Leung, Alberto raced through the tournament and clinched first place with a perfect 11/11.
Second place also was never really exciting. Lam Lok Sum had only lost against Alberto after 7 rounds, but was then upset by Caissa talent Spencer Kai Ming Sun. He recovered from the loss and raced through the last three rounds to finish in second place with 9/11.

From the third place onwards, everything was super close. Before the final round, Spencer seemed to be in pole positions with 6.5/10. Matthew Yan Chun Fang followed closely with 6/10 and then no less than 7 (!) players with 5.5/10.
Ziwen Ha (5.5) and Yue Hei Wong (5.5) lost their matches against Alberto and Lok Sum. Yue Chun Wong (6.5) was able to defeat Spencer (6.5) and jumped to fourth place. Matthew (7) capitalized by winning against Tejas and overtook Spencer to clinch third place. Jonas Lau (6.5) completed the top 6 with a last round win against Hoi Ting.
Caissa girl Ruiyan Ying (6) finished in 7th place and took the girl prize home after an excellent start of 4/5. Paul Chiu was the best U10 player.
