In Term 3 of Academic Year 2023-24 we will continue to provide chess ECA on Mondays 3pm-4pm (separate P1 Group and P2-P6) and Thursday 3-4pm (only P1).

Location: classroom 6.5 on G/F 

 

Our training focuses on bringing children, many of whom haven't played chess in any tournament format before, comfortably to play in individual and team tournaments. All our students can join Caissa's once per month "End of Month" tournament which is a controlled competition in which players of equal strength play for medals and trophies and learn how to play with a chess clock and time their thinking. 

In Term 3 we will have following Monday (9) sessions:

• April 15, 22, 29

• May 6, 13, 20, 27

• June 17, 24 (note 10/6 public holiday no chess and 17/6 change of location (TBD) due to Graduation Y6

In Term 3 we will have following Thursday (10) sessions:

• April 11, 18, 25

• May 2, 9, 16, 23, 30

• June 6, 20, 27

No refund, credit or make-up class will be provided if the student does not attend at the scheduled day and time. In case of enforced school closure by EDB or if classes are disrupted due to COVID-19 circumstances, these classes can be taken as make-up class during the registered Term at school, at our Sheung Wan or Discovery Bay centers.
