Ozbek Gorkem Conquers Caissa Open Spring 2019 Title in Last Round

From 28 April to 16 June the Sunday afternoons at Caissa were allocated to play one of our seasonal recurring Standard FIDE Rated Open events.

It would not be a surprise that the two highest rated payers, Christopher Masters and Ozbek Gorkem would be the major title contenders. Yet Gorkem started with a draw in round 1 and in round 4 against Christopher got another draw. Until the start of the last round Christopher remained on top of the list but his draw in the last round against up and coming star Boris cost him the Champion Title which went to Gorkem. Congrats Ozbek.
